Glenn retired in April 2010 from his position as Chief of Staff, System Engineering, at the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense Office in Dahlgren, VA. He will then be working on the Stafford Civil War Park
Project full time.
Glenn's Air Force career included Missile Operations, Strategic Policy. He is a past Squadron Commander of the 490th Missile Squadron, Great Falls, Montana. After receiving his B.A. with Honors in History from Virginia Military Institute and a M.A. in Management/ Human Relations from Webster University, Glenn held the position of Associate Professor of History of Air Power at Duke University from 1982 to 1985. After continuing his education in 1995 at US Army War College at Carlisle, PA, Glenn enjoyed his tenure as a Faculty Professor of Department of National Security Strategy and Policy and as a Gettysburg Battlefield Guide at the US Army War College from 2000 to 2002.
A Co-founder of our organization, Glenn brings to the FSCWS over 35 years experience in searching for, identifying, & collecting Civil War artifacts. He also has extensive experience in mapping, GPS applications, and Civil War site explorations.

Brian Withrow is experienced with Archeology field methods and preservation to include remote sensing. An active Civil War re-enactor, Brian is currently heading the FSCWS fundraising efforts for the Stafford Civil War Park.
While at Northern Arizona University in 1987, Brian received a BS in Anthropology/Archeology with minors in Historic Preservation & Remote Sensing. He studied Information Technology at Capella University, graduating in 2003.
A retired USMC Officer, Steve LeBlanc is now serving as a Senior Executive for the U.S. Government Printing Office. Steve received his B.S. in Biology from Villanova University and his M.B.A in Business Administration from the University of Rochester.

D.P. Newton, a lifelong Stafford County resident, is a highly respected local historian who owns and operates the White Oak Civil War Museum & Research Center. With over 40 years experience as a Civil War researcher, he is widely recognized as the County's foremost authority on Stafford's Civil War History and its many sites.
D.P. is a co-founder of the Friends of Stafford Civil War Sites.

Rebecca Trimmer has been a resident of Stafford County since 2002. She is a former Elementary School teacher who received her BS in Elementary Education at Longwood College.

Debra Shelton is a long time resident of Stafford County, presently self employed as a Small Business Support/Desktop Publisher. She is a volunteer with Stafford County and has served for 6 yrs with the Cemetery Committee. For her dedication to Stafford County's cultural resources, she was awarded the county's Historic Preservation Award in 2009.
She is also the webmaster of the FSCWS website..
