Stafford County Civil War Park Tours

Ever wonder what Civil War fortifications and sites looked like before they were set aside in Parks?  Want to see 3 large Civil War fortifications, a Civil War road, bridge remains and more just as left nearly 150 years ago, while contributing to their preservation?   If so, then join the Friends of Stafford Civil War Sites for a tour of the Proposed Stafford Civil War Park.

Tours can be requested by filling in the form below. Tour Fees are tax deductible and are as follows:

If the date you choose cannot be accomodated, you will be contacted with other available dates.Tours may be cancelled by the FSCWS due to inclement weather with notification by email (preferred) or phone NLT 8 AM the morning of the tour.  Rain makeup dates will be the following weekend.  We cannot refund money for guest cancellations with less than 2 days notice, or due to guest failure to show up for the Tour. This tour is through a natural undeveloped area, which entails inherent woodland hazards such as bug bites, poison ivy, bee stings, one moderate slope, etc.   Participants should wear footwear and clothing appropriate for woods hiking, and may wish to bring a bottle of water and/or bug spray.  The tour takes about 2 hours and will include details about the Historic Sites in this area.  Adults will need to sign a standard waiver of responsibility for themselves and any children under their care prior to the tour.  The waiver is available for inspection and can be read here.  We hope to see you there!
